Tax-Free Donation

With the implementation of the Youth Services Unit, officers have the opportunity to play an even greater role in the county's efforts to reduce gang and youth violence. Youth Services Officers have the unique ability to interact with the youth in positive settings, promoting respect and understanding for the law and law enforcement.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department has teamed up with local volunteers and Sheriff's personnel to create the Sheriff's Activities Leauge (SAL). SAL is a non-profit, youth gang and crime prevention program that relies on athletic, academic and mentoring activities to develop a bond between law enforcement officers and the youth in our community.

Currently, all programs and services offered by SAL are free to local youth. In order to keep activities free, SAL relies heavily on fundraising, contributions and business donations. Many of our programs and services offer underprivileged and at-risk youth an outlet to explore activities which were previously out of reach.

SAL has been officially declared a non-profit organization by the Secretary of State and the IRS. Direct contributions are possible. The tax ID number for the Sheriff's Activities League is 45-2402757. If you would like to donate, please click on the link below:
